9 Simple tips to Feng Shui your home
9 Simple tips to Feng Shui your home
1. Fix your squeaks.
Do your entry door noise or whine when you open or close it? The entrance door is the first and last thing you face when coming or going from your own home. The audio is as if the doorway is crying and this could affect your feelings and well-being. Many people have become so familiar with the sound that they don’t even notice it. Oil that door joint and create more positive energy when you enter into and leave your house. It’s also helpful to oil any other door hinges throughout the home, but the entry door is the central.
2.Use your front door.
A large number of people stay in homes where they drive up into the garage and use the back door to get in. While this is convenient, from a Feng Shui perspective this may limit good energy and opportunities in your life because again, the entry door represents how chi enters your home and life. The easy Feng Shui fix? Begin using front side door at least once week. A lot more often the better! Only actually work it when you go get the mailbox, or maybe to take walk. Write it into your regular routine.
3. Where to place that Feng Shui fountain.
Drinking water represents wealth in Feng Shui. A lot of folks ask me where the best location to locate a fountain for Feng Shui is. According to Feng Shui principles, it’s helpful to place a normal water factor such as a fountain near to the entry of your home. It can be just inside or maybe outside, but the main part is that the drinking water should be flowing towards the center of your home. That means that the wealth has the possibility to pour into your life!
4. Plants above the kitchen cabinets.
Have a look at your kitchen cabinets and check to see if they are built up the ceiling or a soffit. It is good Feng Shui if there is no space over a kitchen upper units. This space above the kitchen cabinets attracts dust particles and stagnant energy. The chi gets stuck there and encourages dead energy which may hinder your progress in your life. If there is an area, there’s a Feng Shui adjustment for you! Place some light, green plants (live or very realistic looking) or beautiful and loved items in this location. These kinds of objects bring life to this area and change the energy.
5. Keep that bathroom door closed.
A large number of people get concerned about the restroom when it comes to Feng Shui. The idea is that the water is out of the home here. Since drinking water is related to riches, we don’t want our money being flushed away. I have recently been trained that water returns in as it’s being cleared, but to be safe, I recommend that you keep the toilet seats cover down and the bathroom door closed to reduce this effect.
6. Where is your bed located?
In Feng Shui, we use the “commanding position” to find important furniture such or if your bed. The bed is arguably the main piece of furniture to put in the commanding position because you spend so many passive hours sleeping! To place your bed in the commanding position, you wish to be facing the door while not in accordance with the door while lying while having sex. Ideally, you can be diagonal across the table from your bedroom door. However, I actually understand this is not always possible. In that case, find an image and place it to enable you to start to see the door while resting during sex. I suggest freestanding mirrors, as they’re better to move around and get just right.
7. Cover up the TV in your bedroom.
Only about everyone has tv sets in our bedroom. This occurs. If you have trouble sleeping it or in case you don’t, it is a great idea to cover the television set being used in use. The active energy of the television, as well as the electronic facet of it, may be bothersome to the sort of calming peaceful energy more conducive to rest and bedrooms. My own suggestion, find a beautiful scarf or fabric and just toss it away from the television!
8. Clean all windows.
Really time for spring cleaning, and a good location to start is the home windows. The windows symbolize your eyes to the world. We want to have the ability to see and experience exactly what the universe has to offer us. Find some old newspaper, grab a bottle of vinegar and water and clean away the grime. Open your eyes and brighten your space.
9. Do a space clearing.
Last but not least, start a space sorting. Our homes and conditions retain the energetic imprint of those that occupy the spaces. It is always good to just take a little time and melt away the old energy to welcome fresh and new chi. My personal favorite strategies of space fixing are the following: burn up palo santo, smudge with white sage or bringing out natural orange petrol with water. Palo santo is light and perfect for each day use. White sage is heavier for the heavy duty space clearing. As well as the orange oil is great if you also need something to uplift your mood. Whatever you use, make sure you imagine the space being stuffed with positive energy and your dreams for the future.
